The Palau Island archipelago consists of about 300 scenic islands and features world-class diving, a colorful history, and a fascinating natural environment. Palau is rated as one of the world's best diving destinations by scuba aficionados, with its unspoiled reefs, caves, walls, and wrecks teeming with the most amazing array of marine life. Every site is unique and rewarding – from reef sharks and manta rays to microscopic nudibranchs and colorful clams. Palau truly has it all! And don't miss Jellyfish Lake, a truly wondrous experience as you swim through the multitude of virtually non-stinging jellyfish. Topside, you’ll find gorgeous white sand beaches, forests, waterfalls, caves, the lush Rock Islands dotting the nearby waters, and a lovely island culture.
Ocean Hunter I is a 60-foot vessel built by the pioneer divers of Palau for others to explore Palau's waters, reefs, caves and wrecks in comfort and intimate luxury. There are three cabins with private baths and A/C, accommodating up to 6 guests…which means uncrowded reefs, ease of entry into the water, personal attention and maximized bottom time. Furthermore, Ocean Hunter I is designed for professional underwater photography, with a big working area and more than 60 electrical outlets (110 and 220 volt), extra storage space, and E-6 processing available overnight. NITROX tanks and certification are available onboard. Unlimited diving is conducted off a spacious diving platform at the stern of the boat and hardly ever off a chaseboat (so you can climb right back onto Ocean Hunter I when you’re done, and take a warm freshwater shower!). Throughout the day, enjoy fresh low-fat gourmet cuisine prepared by the onboard chef.
There is more to Palau than just diving! If you want to extend your time in Palau, we can add a resort extension so you can relax on the beach, take a guided kayak excursion through the stunning Rock Islands, venture out on a land tour to the sights and history of the 'Big Island', Babeldaob, or even head out on a fishing trip. It’s your vacation, so do as much or as little as you like!
