Cradle Mountain Lake in St Clair National Park is renowned for its beauty featuring abundant wildlife, rare and unusual vegetation and dramatic scenery. Your trip starts at Waldhiem, situated beneath Cradle Mountain, from there you venture south. Traveling on a moderate graded trail for 70kms (average of 12km per day) and you finish the journey with a ferry crossing of Lake St Clair. Time will allow a visit to the summits of some of the highest mountains in Tasmania, possibly even Mount Ossa, Tasmania’s highest. Experienced guides will help bring the track alive with their local knowledge and enthusiasm for the Tasmanian Wilderness.
